A little about me
I have well over 25 years of experience dealing with equids in all spheres ranging from riding, training and administering a good professional standard of veterinary care to them. In my opinion stable management and vet care is high on my list, Students / owners need to be confident in dealing with sick horses / minor ailments and need to understand their needs, they need to recognize a sick horse and must deal with the problem effectively and efficiently.
In 1995 I a gained my BHS AI then obtained by BHS IT all obtained at Wellington Riding. Here I managed horses and staff, lectured, trained working pupils, students and livery clients to gain their Stages 1, 2, 3, PTT and finally their BHS AI. I enjoy teaching and lecturing those wishing to gain their AI, I also have experience to pass on to those wishing to improve their riding, having competed and qualified for the Emirates at show jumping in1998 for the (CSI 4*)FEI Samsung Nations Cup and competed at dressage up to Medium.
After returning from the Emirates I continued coaching at Wellington part time and continued teaching external clients and riding their horses. I was then approahced by Sparsholt college to join them. I coached and lectured at Sparsholt four days a week for eight years, I was approached by Northington Stables and stud to join them as senior manager and head coach, I continue to coach and ride my regular clients horses.
As well as coaching I continue to develope my skills being trained by Alice Oppenheimer once aweek at Headmore Stud and Livery.
